I see one, two cars then three

I can taste the clean air

I can now remember the sound of silence

I long to jump on the bus and hug a friend

It was always about me, we

We travel, we selfie, we laze about texting

We buy food not make food

We over-eat, over-travel, over-consume, over-dispose and over regret

We burn carbon to join the queue on Everest

We archive gigabytes of lucid moments in cold silicon

We breakdown into monochromatic binary

We connect as electrons on copper and light on fiber

We laugh, cry to rented stimulus from netflix

We instagram and facebook our profile

We stay real by watching make believe reality

We troll and counter troll to feel alive

We sing, talk, scream, hate and love virtually

We move at nanosecond urgency

We want it now, free

We say don't worry buddy

That pixelated jpeg are we
